On 27th Dec, we gathered 15 kids from Food for Education and 6 other kids at Gaushala and headed to the Central zoo. Seeing the excitement of the kids brought back memories of our childhood days, how we fancied going to the zoo to see animals and birds, the ones we saw only on the books or in the television.
For the 38th event, we wanted to have some fun with the kids, enjoy and relive the childhood again. We reached the zoo around 11 in the morning. Each member took the responsibility of 3 kids as we started showing them around and the very first was the crocodile. Since kids are always so inquisitive, they questioned on how the animal’s color was different in real than in the picture. It really is amusing how the little minds think!
The next in line were deer, hippopotamus, one-horned rhino, Bengal tiger and leopard with variety of birds. Kids were running around reading the names of each of the birds and were pleased to see beautiful and colorful creatures. After we walked them around,the kids had their lunch and we took them boating. The kids were adamant on paddling the boat themselves and they did too. Amazing how the kids have so much energy!
The kids gave us a thank you card they made for us. It was such a nice gesture!
This is how we spent our Saturday afternoon with the kids. It feels really great to see everyone happy time and again and THE KTM DRIVE does it for us and everyone around..
